If we are all gods children, why, is it always, jesus this, and jesus that? Favouritism?

I have a real question. Your username is 'IlooklikeJesus'.
How did Jesus look when you saw Him? I mean you had to have seen him correct OR you wouldn't Know you look like him. So If you saw Him, why on earth, didn't you take time to ask this question of him, rather than asking a bunch of humans?

The Bible is very clear that although we are all God's children, in the sense that He is our Heavenly Father, only Jesus came to be born by God's own (ahem) seed being implanted in an earthly woman, and a virgin at that.

So while we are all equal, Jesus is more equal than anyone else.

As far as I understand it, Jesus of Nazareth came into this world on a mission to SET AN EXAMPLE of what could be done with love... in fact, He says so Himself! That is to say, we are ALL God's chillun! And what did the Dark Forces do, but pounce on it and turn it into something unattainable, by putting Jesus on a pedestal and making Him an EXTERNAL God, a Saviour to whom one must bow and have one's sins forgiven. Immediately nullifying the idea that we could have any hope of doing what He did (in terms of everyday living, that is, putting His example into practice).

Good one, Dark Forces! At one stroke you buggered up His mission in large degree!

Folks! You don't need a Saviour, but a push to motivate you to discover within yourselves the ability to do those works in your life! That's what He was trying to show you! It would make such a difference to the world if people would share with one another, and treat each other truly as brothers and sisters, all! No pulling fast ones; no getting angry and smiting your neighbour! No "business is business"!

Um, well I figure although we are all God's children Jesus is the only one that is God and perfect. That makes him different. Remember tho, he's the older son (minus the complaining) and you are the prodigal. God (to quote Papa in "The Shack") is particularly fond of YOU.

Mocking God attracts an untimely death. No one gets to God but through Jesus. Read your bible and eliminate the need to ask questions that could get you a nasty answer. We serve a great and terrible God.
