As a fellow teen I know ways of covering my tracks online. For social networking I'd use a fake name and my profile picture would not be of me. Although internet history can not be fully erased you can cover your tracks from your parents by deleting it because they most likely don't have the knowledge or tools to uncover such data. Also, google chrome allows you to go "incognito" so your history won't be saved at all, all you have to o is press cntrl+shift+n. So, in other words, it's basically impossible.

no at one point you got to trust them and that is a joke

You really cant. This day and age, the internet is part of our lives. You can set your rules and enforce them to the best of your ability (and hey, do what is right for your family, no judgment :-) but just as with anything you enforce on a teenager, if they want it bad enough, they will find a way to do it. Stick to your convictions but remember, it is in there teenage hormones to defy you, find there own path and make their own mistakes.

You would be unable to keep them off of social sites completley. YOu can always set up an access list through your home router, or maybe use parental control settings on their cell phone if they have a data plan.

Take it from me, an IT will never be able to make sure they never get on them. You would literally have to put them in a prison.

Best Answer

Check the browsers they are using, go to "settings" or something and put all the social networking sites you know of in there. Proceed to block the settings from being changed by using a password they could never guess.

Best Answer

Lock them in cages.

Best Answer

Well ground them to the house and unplug the internet for one thing.
