Couldn't I just be me? Would I have to change? Could I get have refurbished dentals? If I could have new teeth, I'll take it. But I just want to be me with forever great teeth and a beautiful smile.

No I think I would rather just go when my time is up.....After being here for so long and bearing chronic pain, I am just tired, and ready to rest......

First reaction, no. I would hate to see people I love growing old and dying, and living on forever without them, and every new friendship would suffer the same fate.
If I could set up the rules it might be different... If it could have omniscience and omnipotence...
then I would make it so people cannot damage the earth, and cannot bear to behave with cruelty.
That would be worth the price of having to live forever.Like (2)

Don't especially want it... but if there were a chance of really permanently helping life on this planet, I would feel duty bound to accept it.Like (1)

No. When I'm done, I'll be ready. I don't want to live forever.

Just in case you're being vaguely serious, would you feel any different if you didn't believe in God?Like (1)

In the even that God didn't exist, I would not care to live forever. My aunt is 86 years old; all of her brothers and sisters are gone now, all of the people she knew while growing up are gone, and even though she still has nieces and nephews, she is still very lonely and she is not happy. Most of the very elderly people I know express the thought that life has been long enough and it's time to go to the next phase.Like (1)

Absolutely. I would love to be a vampire, or ideally, a true immortal human. There are those who couldn't handle it, but to walk the earth for centuries, even millenia, doing as I please with no fear, monitoring the progress of the human race, stopping evil where I can and advancing good wherever I go, unknown and free, able to swim the whole ocean, count the stars or the shells on the beach, read every word ever written, create works of art that someone could never finish in a human lifespan without help, learn all I can and impart that knowledge, and when I am finally done observing the candle flame that is life on this planet, I could end myself.
As a normal human being in my current position, I feel the opposite. Suicidal thoughts recur, leave and return, ebb and flow. But if I was truly free...I may never get tired of Life.I'm just tired of -mine-.Like (1)

Yes, I even wanted to be cloned- but just found out RH negatives can't be cloned :(
I do like Vampires- but I wouldn't want to BE one. I don't like the killing part -I wouldn't want to have to kill. I have trouble smashing a bug- I always feel bad and tell it I'm sorry. I feel all life forms have meaning and deserve to live too.Like (1)

Immortal in many circles means you are the last of your species.. and no one to relate too. No thanks

Absolutely; in fact, I'm hoping they work out a way to download my consciousness into a robot (or some fabulous virtual world) before I clap out. (On a good day, I even think there's half a chance of that.)
Failing that, Tolkien elf FTW.
