For the most part, I don't want my favorite books to be turned into movies; it would ruin the image I have of them in my head.

I can see that..I know we make better images of how everything looks etc when we use our imaginations...:)

I would agree with you regarding the imagination. Like music I have had a ton of songs change meaning to me or completely lose value do to someone elses POV. Most music videos are another directors take on a piece of music. Not the artists true muse.

I dont read novels. So I am going with real life experiences or an eclectic collection of such compiled into several short stories w/ tarrantino chronology type editing.

I love that book so much... I have the 1st edition here.. all wrapped up in plastic wrap (I'm waiting for the love of my life to buy me a book cover for it... because that's how I'll know he loves me... lol) I bought and read this thing WAY before it became a best seller... it's still one of THE BEST STORIES ever told. It needs to be heard! The humor that she could find in all of that... just unreal. I love Jennette Walls for that alone. /end book rant

I've written one book in my life (yet to be published), I had dreams of it being made into a movie but alas and alack it has yet to happen.
I'd like to see the rest of the Steven Coonts (not to be confused with Koonts the horror writer) series made into a movie. His first book " The Intruder", based loosely on his true life accounts (He was an A-6 pilot in the Navy during the Viet Nam war) has already been made into an award winning movie back in the '80s.

if ***** mags dont count then i would say make the bible into a movie. But wait, theres a twist. The movie would be a horror flick, And it would have a sequel. Bible 2: wrath of god (hehe trekky reference)
