That depends upon what kind of business my son and future daughter-in-law would like to have. Truly though, we were just talking the other day about the possibility of starting a tutoring (me), art school (daughter-in-law and son), computer school (son) type business.

An Advocacy Consulting business, for parents of children with special needs, using the special education system. I was a professional special education advocate for a number of years, since I left the position, I'm told there is no one offering this service in our area and there's a big need.

I've had a dream of starting a local full-service Advertising agency that would use the money from several small clients to to leverage larger bulk buys. We would do our own commercial production, and this would save money for Radio/TV buys

10k is not a lot to really start a business it would have to be something small that generated fast income that didn't have a lot of start up costs or overhead.

I am not very creative here but it's what I would want to do. Open up a fitness studio with classes and personal training on a small scale to keep it more personalized.
