If you had a close friend or relative who has a terminal illness how do you think you should act in their company?

I had a terminal illness don't pretend like nothing is wrong it doesn't help the best thing you can do is try to keep the mood light but don't be patronizing and don't treat them like they are frail it just reminds them of their situation try to treat them in the same manner as before as best as you can

Don't cry in front of them. When my uncle was dying of cancer he knew what was happening. If they're not brain dead, don't treat them like they are. They deserve more than that. They know what's happening to them and the only thing they can look forward to is a painless end so just make the last hours/days/months/years/whatever normal-ish for them.

I do have a close friend who will be gone within the week. :-(
The only way to act is sincere. Honest. No BS.Like (1)

I would act like they do. If they cry, I cry. If they put on a brave face, I do the same. That's what I would do, but I don't know if it's right.
