If you have chronic pain or illness, wouldn't you try anything if there was a chance it could help in any way?
I have been suffering with a serious chronic illness for three years now. I recently started using a treatment that was presented to me by my doctor. I didn't even read it at first and kind of nodded my head when she talked about it.... While she talked, I was thinking "Yeah, right... Yeah, right... Bulls**t!" I stuffed the info in my purse and went on my miserable way after making a promise that I meant to keep but I reluctantly kept it. I didn't want to get my hopes up just to be disappointed and become more depressed over this illness and what it has done to me and my family....
I got it on Thursday and didn't open it up right away because I was already feeling stressed and like usual a lot of pain so I didn't want to be disappointed right then when I imagined, it wouldn't work. At night I used it and immediately felt it was doing something. It is called "Earthing" ... It is affective! www.earthing.com

Are you my savior ? Earthing is something I havn't heard of. I've been dealing with chronic arthritic pain for more than ten years. In that time I've seen Orthopitists,Neurologists and many Pain Specialists. The orthopitist and the neurologist said, after reading my MRA, " Sorry, there's nothing I can do to help you." So I said "What should I do"? "See a Pain Specialist" ! That was one of the worst mistakes of my life. The (first) PS gave me epiduerals, which I thought were the answer to my pain problems because the pain almost immediately went away. But,two weeks later I was right back where I started. The pain returned. After trying ep's again and again with the same result, it became obvious that continued use of them was not practical. So, we tried steroid injections, with the same results of two weeks of relief, then back to the pain. Steroid shots weren't the answer either beccause I could only have a shot every 4 months and they only provided relief for two weeks. The "solution" was to have pain medication administered continuously. Sounded like a winner to me so I had a morphine infusion pump installed in my body. You guessed right if you guessed that it didn't provide pain relief, even after changing the morphine for dilaudid and jacking up the dosage to , what the next Pain Specialist said was "alarming" levels. He suggested that I try a relatively new pain drug, the name of which escapes me but, which was made from snail venom. It was very expensive by comparison with morphine or dilaudid but I was willing to pay for it if it would provide some pain relief. Another good thing about this new drug is that it is not an opiate, so no constipation side effects, which I've learned to live with since getting the pump. Of course, the new stuff didn't work any more than the old stuff so I had the pump refilled with dilauded again just to have the illusion that I was doing all I could for myself. Oh yeah, I was also taking oral pain meds like, you name them,I took them. So,here I am ten years later, still suffering from arthritic pain of the joints, including my spine, and putting up with the pain because nothing has worked for me.To answer your question,I have and would try anything to find some relief. And,that is why, after writing this post,I'm going to the site you suggest and renew my hope that this may be the med that "could help in any way." Thanks for the info. Hope it works ! I'll be sure to let you know, one way or the other.

PS: Just came from earthing.com and was struck by how similar the adds for their products sound so similer to those of the "Majic of Magnets" which were all the rave a number of years ago. I forgot to mention that I tried magnets too with the same negative results of everything else I tried. I will try going barefoot however because it's something I can try for free during our summer months, which in Florida, means March to December. I should know by then whether I get any pain relief from the experience.Like (1)

i got hurt eight years ago working at a mortuary moving dead people around. spent the next 7 yrs dependant, not addicted to pain meds. i took 450 methadone a month. i changed doctors and he sent me to a detox/health program. it saved my life. it wasnt fun, its wasn;t easy, but i haven't taken a pain pill in eight months. my pain still exists some, but it was the drugs that ruin your tolerance and make your pain actually SEEM/FEEL worse. its not your body, its not in your head, it in those little nerve endings. before my life was 85% consume by pain, now its like 15% If you have good insurance or workers comp, contact me and I can tell you about the place i went to. saved my life. let me live again and hope it for all of you too!!!

All I was saying is that sometimes the pain you FEEL is worse than the actual injury or disease. i had given up on life. I hurt 85% of the time and was all but bedridden for two years. the pains meds are necessary, but the longer and more you take them, they make you hurt worse.. Your initial injury or disease may seem to get worse, but its SO likely its because of all that crappy, drug-pushing doctors. i started on norco, then my doctor insisted i go to morphine, then to methadone, and then when depression/anxiety hit, take these new meds, and then I couldn't sleep, so try these, as so on for many years. So eventally I couldn't even decipher, why i hurt and why i was so miserable-all the side effects and trying to cure them with other meds that caused new side effects. I'm not some naturualist-I believe meds are necessary. I had tried injections, chiropractor, TENS units, PT, acupuncture, anything and everything. i admit I had good results at this program, but so did all the other pain affected disabled people there too. A huge part of it is accepting it as it is. You will likely never be free of pain. No matter what science can/may offer. But once a bit of acceptance finally kicks in, it alot easier to understand it and just acknowledge this is the new you, for better or worse. You sounded p!ssed at me, you asked for advice, and thats what i offered, something that a virtual, pain-consumed, overly-medicated gal/zombie (for eight years) had to offer.Like (1)

I have both and yes I would as long as it was feasible. I have depression big time and I refused ECT because it makes no sense and hurts people.
Earthing? Be real. Your first thoughts were correct. It's just another bullshit fad. What's new? How much do they want from you?Like (1)

Sorry you have chronic pain and can understand you did not want to get your hopes up. Seems legit, glad it has helped you, but not heard of it as such before. Really interesting.
