I use Romanian and English daily. Romanian because I can't avoid it as I live in Romania, and I use English on the internet, with tourists and some friends who are Scottish (but live in my town), I also read English books and watch a lot of TV series/movies in English (for which I am too lazy to get subtitles).
I also speak okay Italian as I studied it at school and I spent a month in Italy as an exchange student, which means I lived with an Italian family, went to school in Italy, I made friends there... most people didn't speak English, so I had to use Italian! As I am back home, I only use it to write to friends in Italy and to try to decypher cryptic Italian internet sp34k. I am also thinking about starting to read Italian books to improve.

I also speak some German, but I'm really bad at German. I also speak very basic Swedish and I can somewhat understand written Swedish!

Speak to people in them whenever I could.

Use it in travel (lack here will not stop me travelling, though)

Read foreign literature.

Learn more languages - your second language is the hardest, apparently.
