If You Lived a Life Before This, What/Who Do You Think You Were?

I've always had a vision of a woman in a hallway outside of a sick room. There's a candle burning lowly on the creme colored wall above her, she's exhausted. The ceiling is very high--like in the old-style houses. The hallway is also somewhat narrow and ends at the door outside of which she stands. She is in a nightgown. Her hair is dark. She is barefoot. Though I can't ever see inside the room, I know someone is sick--very sick--and/or dying inside of there. The dying person is this woman's lover/husband. I am also inclined to believe that the person died. I have had this vision for as long as I can remember. It isn't a dream so much as it is a memory.

In my life, I've always been searching for the person who died. I feel sad all the time, and I've always felt sad--for as long as I remember. I cannot find this person, and I so desperately want to. I feel like I've always been searching, since I was born.

I wonder if I was this woman in another life.

Nice question, I wonder at times too...

I think I must have been many things in many different lives, guessing from the mixed streams of thought patterns I find in myself...

A priest
A prostitute
Someone connected with Jesus (although I am a Hindu now)

A teacher

It is really ridiculous to believe a previous life, which we have no way to know about it! We do not know our sins in the past, how can we repent?
Karma is only a fabrication of the false Hindus, then it becomes a belief among the Buddhists, while Krishna and Buddha have not taught about it.
Any belief which cannot be explained by the religious teachings and scientific proofs, is only superstitious fabrication to be discarded.

pukirahe! - please - a little less condemning beliefs other than your own as false?! that is not the way to bring the kingdom of God to this world

I'm fairly sure I was something else before I was this - a crane mahaps - and long ago a bearded man.

but sadness for lack of the last life - is no way to live this one - you are not them - you are you! a creature never before seen under the face of the sun - celebrate that :)
