I've lost and still losing much of what was my life before.Nothing is what it was or thought it would be. Sometimes the combination of health, financial and relational failures come down on you all at once. I never believed that life could be such a hell.
After the panic, the pain, the sorrow and the desperation, you realize that you are not in charge and have no control, The train cannot be stopped so you start letting go and lose attachments to what represented your life "before" and hold on to those few things and people who really mean something. Then you wait for a better time hoping that that day will come soon enough for you and while you still enough life left in you to start living again.

In less than four months....I lost someone that I thought was a good friend....My car....my job....my daughters...my grand son....my home.....and almost lost my husband....Is that loss enough...and in a short enough time to be able to answer the question....

Me I lived in a tent for two years....and pulled my life back together......repaired my marriage...got back into my family's good graces....got a new job.....and leaned one thing......That the best friend a person could ever have is themselves....For I know that I would never stab myself in the back

count my change, regroup, be thankful for my life and keep going. No matter how bad, unless you die, there is always a tomorrow, and a new set of choices, try not to pick the same ones.

Move somewhere i've never ever heard of. I'd close my eyes and point on the map and that is where I would start over. I think it would be kind of liberating to have the opportunity to start life completely anew.

I have lost everything in the blink of an eye. My home, my husband, my job, my security and pretty much everything I owned. I mourned for quite some time but then what can you do? You get up and start over again or dig a hole and bury yourself. I chose to stand back up.

the way I feel today I think I would just lay down and give up

on a different day I'd be saying life goes on and it can only go up from here

Be strong and take each day as it comes.

I did lose everything (literally) about ten years ago and I've somehow managed to survive. I learned a lot from that experience.

Seek out a place to stay - Homeless Shelter or Government agency - and start planning for the next chapter of my life.

Break down, cry for days, wish I were dead, then kick myself in the *** and somehow get back on my feet. That's basically what's happened in the past when bad things occured, and I like to think that if worst came to worst, I'd do the same thing.

Pick myself up and start over. Actually this is a very good thing and should happen to everybody at least once in their lifetime. It gives you a better appreciation of life and teaches the lesson that , No , you really didi'nt need all of that stuff like you thought you did.

I love what I do for a living but if I lost my business tomorrow I would do whatever it takes, literally. I'd clean houses, wash cars, dig ditches - every job is admirable and I would do whatever it took to start over.
