That depends. Do you have a way to cook? Do you have a refrigerator? Do you have space to store food, or would it possibly get stolen or eaten by rodents? Do you have running water, or do you have to buy water also?

assuming i'm shopping for 2-4 people.... potatoes, rice, dried beans, cheap sasuage or ground beef, cheap frozen veggies, flour cheap margarine, powdered milk, apples, tea.

Rice. Ramen noodles. Chicken (on a day that it's .99 a pound). Juice mix. Tea. Sugar. Bread (probably at the bread store). Tortillas. Beans. Cabbage. Butter (the block kind). Cheese. Bacon. Green beans. A green like spinach or turnip greens. Potatoes and sweet potatoes. I'd have to take my calculator.
