If you pass a couple or a group of people, and they suddenly laugh, do you initially assume they are laughing at you?
And what do you think it is about you they'd laugh at? I think it is pretty common to assume, but I am wondering how often it is that people are actually laughing at a person. Surely someone is not laughing at you each time, right? I find it interesting that something associated with feeling good and having fun is also associated with pain and fear.
