If you say No SMoking than tax people for smaoking are you a hypocrite?

Yes you are!......ok, im just upset cause im a smoker and all non smokers hate me =(

Well, not really. Taxes discourage use of anything to some degree, though that's not really the point. By taxing any item, a pool of money is obtained for whatever reason. The more people refuse to give up smoking, the more money this tax yields. By the way, don't forget drug taxes, which every user or dealer is supposed to pay. Of course, most don't, because their behavior being illegal to begin with,is hopefully unnoticed. Make no mistake though, in a bust, tax evasion is a big issue! So with smoking, the goverment is making money off of your drug addiction, but not condoning it.

Yep. Just like we tell kids, "Don't have sex, but in case you want to, here's a condom." Things don't change when we become adults. That's why we must think for ourselves.
