As reverndale said,stranded means u r unprepared but u end up .But if i were to make a picnic out of it,i would take people i love,emergency lights,good food,water and not to mention,toilet paper!

IF you were "Stranded" ; you wouldn't bring anything because "Stranded" would indiciate an element of Surprise ...
BUT: if I was going to a deserted island and stay for awhile ; I'd bring my nephew , my dog , plenty of water, pre packaged foods, a short wave radio , regular radio , some cards, a tent, sleeping bags , flashlights and lanterns, etc .... and spare clothes ...
