If you were to become stranded somewhere, which would be better to be, in a desert or in the Arctic?

I think that both extremes would be equally perilous. Yes if you were in the desert, you wouldn't have to worry about hypothermia, frosbite, etc....however you would be susceptible to death from heat exaustion/dehydration.

....i guess what i'm saying is that if i ever get stranded i'll make sure it is in the median of these two extremes

EBunbury	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM I WAS stranded in the desert for 30 hours with a broken leg. so I guess I'd have to go with that. Why can't I choose the Antarctic, instead of the Arctic? At least there's land. I can't swim long in icy water. Rated: +1Vote for this!

Alys	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM As much as I hate the heat, I'd have to say that I'd rather be stranded in the desert. I have no idea how to survive in extreme cold and it seems I'd have a better chance in the desert. Rated: +1Vote for this!
