Send my kid and a whole bunch of other kids to college. Pay off all my debts and my family's debts and mortgages. Gift a lot of it to my friends and family. Donate to my favorite charities. Travel. Invest my money wisely. Establish a scholarship fund to honor my Dad. I would like to create a non- profit and work to serve my community. I would also be hanging out at walmart or other grocery stores randomly giving out gift cards to Moms who look like they can use a little help.

After donating significant potions of it to worthy charities I believe in, I would purchase a penthouse suite aboard "The World" an ocean liner in which individuals own their own staterooms!

Have a house purchased free and clear for my family. Put a lot of money in savings... most of it. Do a lot of philanthropic work to help others who have less.

I would buy out my fathers portion of a family lake house. Pay off one set of lake neighbors to get their land and built a huge home on the lake with lots of space for family and friends to visit often (not my father or his wife).

I'd travel lots with friends and family.
Set my mom up for the rest of her life.
    Hire a housekeeper.
Get much more involved in cancer research.
    Invest Lots of it!!

I'd start by helping everyone close to me: family, friends, acquaintances. I'd pay off their mortgages, help them start projects for which they need backing, bring pleasure into their lives.
Then I'd put a tax attorney friend of mine (who is a solo entrepreneur - nor rich) to help me find and distribute money to worthy causes in the world, ranging from people in need, women in 3rd world countries who need backing to become financially independent, animals, environment, the arts. Hey, with $1 billion, a lot if possilble.
Finally, I'd remodel my house to include a larger kitchen.

I would pay all of my bills, make sure my grown children are settled in their own homes & do alot of altruistic things in my community. I would also secure my retirement. I'd do some good things with my Mom, like visit Canada (where she's from), & take vacations with her.
