if it was me, i would call the cops. there's a lot of pl in my family who come to my mother's house when their running from th cops, and i don't want my children (if i had any) become like those pl in my family.

Report his/her crime. It's my duty as a parent to make my child realise that he/she is not above the law.

I just heard about a guy yesterday keeping the police at bay because they wanted to arrest his son for something (can't remember). I don't think that's right. If you're going to do the crime, expect that you will do the time.

well of course i would. i would want to know all the details first, but that's the difference between murder and killing someone, isnt it? and if it is truly rape, then they deserve to be punished.Like (1)

Id probably keep my mouth shut.
But it would be best,
If it’s a minor to tell
If it’s an adult, id try to convince them to turn themselves in.Like (1)

Mouth shut. I'd defend family no matter what.

My mom called the cops on me one time because she was acting crazy when I was at her house and I was trying to calm her down! They came and told me to leave her house. LOL ****, she's psychotic.

It would really depend on the crime.

I don't have a child nor am I planning to have any (I am actively planning to have none), so we shall assume it is either a close family member, the child of a close family member, or the child of a close friend. I would turn them in, of course. My preference would be that they willingly accompany me to the police station, but depending on the person in question and the situation it may not be possible to offer them that choice (i.e. it may not be safe for me). But I could never in good conscience allow them not to be punished if they had done something horrible.

Smoking weed is also a serious crime here, speeding...etc. I wouldn't let him steal or hurt someone, that's for sure.

Call the cops, but that wouldn't happen because I will make sure they know that daddy loves them more than anything in the world and if they screw up like that they better hope the cops get them to jail before I can get to them.

It depends on what you class as serious, i wouldnt let them get away with anything but i would have to decide if it was a matter for the law or if it was a matter for counselling or some other punishment I could maybe inflict better without risking their entire future on a criminal record
i think as a parent you have to own some responsibility in the moral outcome of your childs personality - so basically if they become a rapist or a murderer - you have failed them and you need to find a way to make it better without jeopardising theirs or anyone elses future even more.
