    Cool question which I'm really not going to answer. There were 192 Stooges shorts of which Moe & Larry were in all. Curly was in 99; Shemp 77 (he was actually dead in 4 of them); & Joe Besser 16. Curly Joe DeRita only appeared in the full length movies.

    Never thought Shemp got enough credit. Watch Malice in the Palace & The Brideless Groom. Another interesting bit of trivia is in Abbott & Costello's Africa Screams: you see Shemp & Joe Besser sharing a few scenes.
