Resolved Question

If your state announced today that it was officially seceding from The Union, which side would you support?

Would you support The Union? Or would you support your state?

Which side would you fight for, if it led to an all-out war?

[I scare myself, when I think that I might actually need to consider supporting OH over the U.S.A.]

This question and answer section is disgusting. Some of you people apparently missed your calling. You should have been born in the 19th century just so you could fight in the civil war.

And this coming from the people that drape themselves in the flag and say things like God and country ad nauseum.

Will you please stay out of the way while real patriots are trying to fix problems and not brew schemes of another revolution? Ditto heads unite - perhaps if you pool your brain cells you can come up with some better ideas than revolution.

I would fight for my state. We are the United STATES...the federal government cannot have authority over the states.

My state is one of seven in the country that has some sense and has not spent itself into a black hole.

It is very likely there will be an all out war in this country in the next few years. The fed is out of control and the truly brave must stand up and stop them

If this ever happened I don't believe you would know it unless you had a big network of friends that informed you, the offical story would be something that would immediately make you think it was another school shooting or something similar. The Government controls all the major news venues. There could be problems right now and the Lying talking heads on T.V. would continue to tell us the latest Hollywood non sense.
They could drag you out of your house in front of a news crew and tell the public you had kiddie **** on your computer. Anyone hearing that would immediately think,"Good get that S.O.B. off the street."
I think that's why the Government pulled combat troops back from Iraq in case civil unrest occurred.
With all the Fema camps set up all around the country, the Government is itching to declare martial law. They are ready, how ready is the average American for a second revolution? Most are clueless.
My state is just as corrupt as the people at the top of the pole. I'd probably side against the worse of the two, the Union.

I never side with my state. I hate my state. I'd be shaking my head at the sheer ridiculousness of people seceding--again. You think we would have learned our lesson last time...

I would side with my state...it is far from perfect but change would be easier than at the federal level. We have an interstate and more natural resources in 98,000 sq. miles than anyone...plus, few americans actually know (or care) where wyoming is

I'd support my state - I hate America! I'm hoping it will get better, but in general I just don't like this country.

I would go with the Union, MI can't survive on it's own, I don't think any state could. Any difficulties should not be solved by seceding, and in any case the Union is far more important then the individual state.

I am a citzen of the United States. I could not think about being anything else at the moment. I do not feel its time to even consider it.
For United We Stand, Divided we fall.

Conspiracy Theories abound about Fema Camps ready for the Religious and the Patriots to come in after Marshall Law.
The New American Treaty.

We have four more years before 2012...you know the world is gonna shake.

Well that was a question I sure didnt expect to consider.

i want to say I would side with the Union but there are fewer crooks in my state than there are in the USA so I guess I would have to say f*ck you USA as I am not a citizen of the great country of North Carolina. Kind of interesting because wasn't it South Carolina that seceded in the first place to cause Union forces to go to war?

seceding has to be plausible first. i'd support texas because we have the resources to be our own country. i would certainly think twice though if i lived in another state. but in all honesty, it makes much more sense for all the states to work together and improve america (easier said than done considering all the greedy *** bastards that live here)

considering where this country is headed, i would seced. the constitution was written for a reason. therefore it should be honored and followed. it should be read for what it says, not what it could say. so yeah, on the topic of seceding, i would deff. being that they were seceding for a good reason.

I'd support my state. We are doing better than most in the economic crisis and at the only state with all the natural resources to be independent.
