Yes. I think whomever coined the phrase "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" was sadly mistaken. That said, if you can love someone without throwing your whole self/ego into it, the end results are better.

Thats usually the initial reaction I have, but when it really comes down to it I am glad each time after my heart heals because I have learned something. Constantly shaping my mind to know what I really want and what I am happy with. Not to settle.
