Im conflicted should I try to work and go to school or rely on student loans.... any thoughts?

in today's economy, if you CAN get a job in the career path you have chosen, jump on it. If not, concentrate on your formal education - when the economy picks up.... then grab a job!

If you are serious about school - that should be a priority. If you are in debt and need more money - get a part time job or a room mate.

If you can perform well in school and hold a job, do it.
I have no problem working part time and going to school full time.
I'll be graduating without any debt.

both ways can work. its up to you how to play it. student loans are probably the cheapest loans you are EVER going to get.
a mate of mine had the best of both worlds. he got the loan and stuck it in an icer where it earnt interest. he then continued to work so he kinda ended up with more money than he had to start with.
...needless to say i wasnt so wise :P

i did both. i was reasonably comfortable, got good grades, and my debt wasn't too horrible when i graduated.
i have no regrets.
