Being a recovering alcoholic, I have been in a lot of detoxes. There was one I was in where they had an emergency overdose with that poison who ended up dead on arrival. Apparently a little too much didn't react too well with her body chemistry. Please, think about this and enter at your own risk.

It's like playing Russian roulette with your mind. For some people, the hammer lands on an empty chamber. For others, there's a round in the chamber. The empty chamber folks will tell you it's great. The folks who weren't so lucky probably aren't capable of being online to talk with you.
They may be in an institution, dead, or just effed up forever.

I've done both. LSD is literally a mind-blowing experience. Do it early in the day if you ever want to sleep, because the effects last up to 10-12 hours. I love the way your mind comes alive. Shrooms are similar but much shorter duration.
Make sure you are in a comfortable setting, with someone you like, access to good music, something good to drink and something fun to do. Some frisbee, a nice park, a party, a beach -- all are good choices. Enjoy!

dont do it alone. the trip is very very strong and it can last 12 hours or more. i heard of people jumping out the window thinking they were in a completely different environment then their home. if you have a bad vibe, then the 12-hour trip might end up being a nightmare that you cant wake out of.
if you are alone you might end up doing smth stupid like think you are eating candy when you are actually eating marbles or smth and end up dying. thats why you need a sobre "adult" arround you to make sure your not killing yourself in any retarded way. didnt do it myself but i know people who did.

I enjoyed it when I went outside, Nature is great for tripping. And as JenSometimes says, drop early if you want to sleep!

I would prefer that you didn't, and if you must do anything, stick with the shrooms.
I started tripping when I was 18, and I really thought it was the greatest thing ever...until I had a couple of bad trips.
I can think of few things worse than being stuck in that state for hours upon hours, with no way out.
Also, there are lasting effects from taking LSD. Over twenty years later, I still see trails when I get tired, and when I'm reading when I get tired, the page and words turn psychedelic colors.
Then there is the risk of not knowing the quality of what you are taking, and if you get some bad **** (not that any of it is exactly good for you), it's like playing Russian Roulette.
I hope you make the right choice for yourself.

Mushrooms are much more potent in my opinion, so you may be dissappointed.
Its still worth tring but don;t expext the same same outcome as the shrooms!!
