Get a "Friend" with a mobile to call them "Accidentally" if your date picks up and talks normally you wil know you are being played, if not then maybe they are genuinely shy of phones.

NOT AT ALL. I had friends that spent all day long texting. How STUPID. I no longer have these "friends" since anybody can waste all that time texting is not someone I want as part of my life. We have a mouth and ears so we can communicate. If she/he can't speak to you face-to-face, then find somebody who can. Can you really see yourself spending your life with a person addicted to texting for hours each day? That is almost like being with a video-game addict, or person who won't stop looking in the mirror.
