I'm not sure about y'all, but i know i would have benefited from a "what to do when the worst possible scenario occurs"

class which would include such topics as, "what to do when your mother kicks you out and your wallet gets stolen, your ex takes all the rest of your money, you have no id, you're out of gas, and you have no one to aid you", etc. i would have also loved to have been taught more critical thinking skills, street smarts (maybe i should have just not attended private school so that i could learn those), and just life skills in general. would you have benefited from these things?

I've read all of those what to do scenario books... I'm really well read in matters such as "How to survive a plague of boils" .. "what if your date has a burning bush"....and the idiots guide to pestilence but nothing prepared me for what happened the after night after going out drinking with the lads and eventually staggering to the bathroom to relieve myself for what seemed like hours, only to look down and see that my suit pants were still done up and I was holding my thumb from the other hand........

Yep most def. I mean literacy and numeracy have their place but some good practical life skill classes would've gone a long way imho.

yesss, i mean...for example, i see a lot of people with bombass degrees who have NO IDEA what to do with those degrees once they get out of school or how to go about even FINDING the place that will help them find a job. i also knew nothing about food stamps, the workforce center, how to apply for unemployment, etc bc my family didnt believe in them
