Im on prozac for bulimia for 1 month but so far i feel no effects.does any know its effects?

It takes about 6-8 weeks to feel effects. You aren't throwing it up, are you? Seriously, you aren't? If you don't feel any effects in another week or two, I would ask your doctor about it - maybe you need your dose increased or you need to have something added to your regimen.

Take care of yourself and don't put this off too long. You need to feel better.

It can take six weeks to take effect. It is a drug that has helped some bulimics. Work closely with your MD. You should feel empowered to ask your MD what to expect, and why he or she thought Prozac would be helpful. Sometimes if one SSRI doesn't seem to be doing anything, another one can work miracles. Medication is more effective if done in conjunction with psychotherapy.

Ahh... the pharmaceutical companies at work... now if you could just have smoked a little legal marijuana you would be both mellow, not nauseous, and have the 'munchies'... but nooo...

I'm taking it for my hot flashes along with sleeping pills. I really haven't noticed a lot of changes. I've been on it for the last couple of years. Some of the people that I know that are on it say they love it. My doctor wanted to make sure that my attitude doesn't get bad. The type of job I had was dealing with lots of people all day and I was getting frusterated and at night I wasn't getting any sleep. I don't get so frusterated any more.
