Tropical beaches, rainforest jungle, cheap hotels and restaurants. Toucans, parrots, monkies and jaguar. You'll never regret it.

Actually, I have been living her for two years now. There is so much to do. The tallest waterfall is called the Diamante Falls, the hike up is about 2 hours. You can rent horse if you want. There is a huge cave behind the cascading water that has a full kitchen, bathrooms and sleeping quarters for your sleeping bags. It's absolutely beautiful. That's about 45 min drive from the beach. If you are into camping style. If not there are nice hotel/restaurants down at the beaches. If you are looking for a hotel that is more luxurious, or a hotel that's simple. Prices are good. Surfing is offered at all the beaches. I've never rented a car here, but there are busses and they are very cheap.

If you land at LAX, hop on the 1 and just head north, very very scenic drive. Stop in Big Sur for the Hearst Castle, then Monterrey, the giant sequoias, then San Francisco and golden gate and on to Napa. Don't forget to stop and watch the sea otters.
