I think feeling anxiety or depressed about gaining weight is the absolute worst thing. Those things cause more overeating and/or cortisol release. I think trying to change 'availability' is a good option. Just don't keep alot of food around. Don't buy alot of food that you can just rip open the packet and eat. If you have mostly healthy foods and many of them require preparation, you'll probably drop weight. Lower calorie, zero calorie, or reduced calorie beverages. Brown bag a decent lunch instead of eating out at work. Whatever you do, don't get yourself too down cause that never helps.

Re-gaining lost weight is almost always because of changed eating habits, not because of exertion changes Until you get back to the weight you wanna be, eat 500 LESS calories a day than you need to maintain your desired weight. And best of luck!

Gaining weight does not mean you are not still a beautiful person....Just use a little self control and you will be fine you will lose it in no time

You should never be embarassed of who you are, but if you dont like it change it. My sister had problems maintaining the weight she wanted. After she would lose the weight it would come back until she started doing the weight watchers. You have a support group, and you go and weigh so many times a month but you do it together. I cant remember how much it cost but it changed her life.

Stop putting so much importance on your weight. Don't ignore it either, weight is an important factor in your overall health.

Since YOU are the one who controls your weight there is nothing that anyone else can do to stop you from gaining or losing weight. The responsibilty is all yours.

removing sweets and sodas from your diet is a good start.... try moving your computer into a position that requires you to stand while using it... that too will help.

for every 5 minutes of exercise you get allow yourself 2 minutes of PC time ...... walk to the store when shopping instead of driving both ways...

all of these things will help you be more active....

I have the very same concerns... to manage them, I walk everywhere .. last night I walked 45 minutes to get to my pool league instead of taking a cab ... that meant I could drink 3 beers..

limit and reward really helps .... I hope you get through this girl :)

Stop worrying about it, the more you worry the more tense you will get, the more you may use comfort food. No matter what providing you don't have a medical problem that is causing weight gain, its simple, calories in (food, drink) calories burnt in the day. To stay slim eat less at first than burning, at the weight you want, what goes in must match what goes out. Forget all the diets on the market, they just cost bags of money and don't last for long.

Good luck, bet you look just great anyway.
