If it is a new problem, probably anything to warm the area -- hot bath, heating pad, etc. -- and if that doesn't feel good then do the opposite and ice it for 20 minutes at a time. Because it's a shoulder, I'd check with the doctor if it doesn't clear up in a day or two, because you could have a joint out of place.
