I'm starting to panic when I grocery shop. The prices are so crazy. I get all shaky & heart palpitations. Do U too?

I don't but I can tell you that I see the numbers of people who develop grocery shopping anxiety..will go up..bad year for crops.

This is EVERY item not just crops- I refuse to pay $2.99 a POUND for grapes that should be $.99 cents a pound in the summer! Or $5.99 for a tiny watermelon, they aren't even RED in the middle- they're tasteless pink. Where are the normal watermelons???

It's because of the heat. I work at a grocery store. Nobody has gotten any good melons this year. In order to not lose any money the prices go up. I will protest the watermelon cost, that seems a little high. The grapes at our store however are always that price. Fruit is starting to go out of season. Like apples, soon they'll be a rare thing.

No. I'm a cheap bastard, and buying groceries (on the rare occasion I do so) is still cheaper than eating out (even fast food is pricy these days).

Not me. I bought some bananas, strawberries, grapes, and a watermelon. That is gonna last me until Thursday or Friday, coupled with the oranges and coffee I have... Banana mocha smoothie in the morning =P

I haven't started panicking over the grocery prices yet. I've heard inflation could get even worse though.

I needed groceries today but i couldn't bring myself to put anything in the cart. They were all passed prices i am willing to pay...

Where are you shopping? Save Mart? I shop Food Max and I think it's pretty decent.
