    I don't think the KGB bothers with water boarding. It's the 12-volt battery attached to a main's genitals, or a bullet to the back of the head.

    those guys were scary. they weren't accountable and they didn't mess around.
    if they liked you and you were lucky, they might send u to the siberian gulags. there's your iceboarding.
    waterboarding was a compromise the westerners could get away with in bill-of-rights country.

    The CIA uses the thermal limits for waterboarding set at the U of Manitoba. In Russia freezing is natural death.
