Australia was not DISCOVERED. It was not "terra nullius" (empty land). It has been inhabited by the Aboriginal people for at least 40,000 years.

The land was invaded and colonised, not 'discovered and settled'. Our history books need to be re-written. I feel quite strongly about this =)
