Making gold on the auction house is a tricky thing. I've found some decent success however it takes a lot of time and dedication to research the markets you want to follow. Once you find a market you need to find the right times to buy and sell as well as the right items. Then you need to search for deals to turn profits. It also requires a lot of start up money but it can be very beneficial. A lot of people use real money to buy gold, but I found skinning and mining to be the best trades =) Good luck to you!

If you've got the right professions, it can be profitable to buy raw materials and make high level items from them. For example, i made about 200 gold simply by buying the moonshroud, etc, required to make an Emerald bag. If you do a little bit of research with your professions and the prices on the auction house beforehand, you can make money quite easily.

Haha, I never thought I'd see a question like this on here :D

First mate, if you don't have it already get yourself auctioneer and that scan that bad boy. Depending what profs you've got you can create items and sell them or disenchant them to sell...there are a lot of things you can do.

What I do is I have about 10 characters all 80 with virtually every prof, so I can farm my own mats, create my own gems, armor, w/e...I just create items and sell them on the AH, makes me about 3000g a day...not too shabby I guess. Best advice for you is just get some gathering profs, do daily quests, and scan the auction hosue for cheap items you can resell...
