will be considered old by someone in 30s but will be considered 'not old' by someone in 60s... so it all depends.

I'm just about to turn 49 and I feel it in the morning, but I feel pretty young after my third cup of coffee.

When i was 48 i thought 2 yrs to a Half Century. After a Decade ,I'm thinking of all that time wasted worrying about it. I'm 58 now and still can't get senior citizen discounts in some places. So no ,48 is middle age not old.Enjoy it while you can.

Depends on the person. I've seen people old at 20 and young at 50. What do I have for you? Does it matter? Its what you have for yourself that is most important.

vicodin and coffee make you feel 25 again. lol

seriously, I'm the same age. I used to think 48 was old. But I realize that it isn't "old." It is middle age. A person 75 would think you are a puppy.

I am 48....... And still above ground....I have lived through the first man on the moon, sissy bars on my bike, wearing polyester, the first personal computer, the first emails, learning the Internet....wars, Freddie Mercury, Dave Matthews, Robin Trower, and constantly learning new things about our world....there has been integration, women's rights, beautiful sunsets.....and more......I am grateful for every year I have been given. I have gray hair...a few creaks....but I can still feel the sweet breeze on my face. :)

The Government will decide by RE-clasiflying you,in France you are young, in Vanuatu you are old,

It depends on who you're asking and why you're asking.
Most likely this is what they are saying to themselves if you happen to be talking to them

    51-55 - 'I still look like that"

    46 - 50 - "but I look younger than that"

41-45 - "I hope I am not still doing that when I am that old" (slight panic if they are closer to 45)

    36 - 40 - "that's old-ish"

    35 - 30 - "that's definitely old"

    29 - 25 - "that's ancient"

24 and younger - "I am creeped out, I'm calling my Mom."
