I'm past it now. There's nothing I can do anyway. I could live in a NBC suit, but I don't wanna (not to mention, I don't keep one of those handy.) Don't worry too much about it!

Not really. There's nothing I can do about it other than wash my hands and keep my immune system healthy. Beside the vast majority of people survive it without much of a problem.

Nope, and there's lots of swine where I work

It is not a lot of crap. This virus has not been seen before by most people so the CDC had no way of knowing how most people's immune system would react. Swine viruses have been bad before, so the possibility existed that this one could be bad too. They had no choice but to warn us. So it was not that bad, and everyone now thinks they cryed wolf, but it could have been and then we would be really crying. It could possible become bad next fall, cause viruses are always mutating. They DO NOT KNOW, they have repeatedly said that. They have repeatedly said IT COULD BE BAD, IT COULD NOT BE. Am I worried? A bit, but what happens will happen.

Well, as of today the swine flu is still spreading in a pandemic-kind of way. But as long as one is generally healthy, it shouldn't cause much more trouble than a regular flu (except that it is much more contagious).

Avian flu, on the other hand, is much more deadly, but is not even close to being that contagious. (The Spanish flu was both deadly (mostly because people were weak after WWI) and contagious...)
