i got extremely ill last year from alcohol, i was hospstilised 3 times with life threatening conditions. i haven't been completely sober but i'm recovering very well. i don't drink everyday or every month and when i do i just have a couple and yes i do mean a couple my doc's. ok with it. it seems i don't seem to be able to abstain completely. the D and A services find this is ok too.in this respect i say yes i'm a recovering alcoholic. my husband still drinks every night but there is no way he will give it up at all. this has been traumatic for my daughter now 21 and she hates alcohol. i admire you for your great achievement of 10 years sober well. done

So proud of you, congrats ! Well done.

I don't drink.......My father was an alcoholic and I know first hand how insane life can be......He was committed once because of a suicide attempt.....he never went to A.A.
