If this is an excerpt from your book, I can tell you up front that your thoughts are spilling out on the page haphazardly. I feel the emotion, but the grammar and run on sentences hurt the impact. Go back and rewrite it yourself, a paragraph at a time, not being afraid to ADD sentences and information. This is a great idea basically, but your jamming it all into very small space. Thank you for the advice :) No it's not an extract it would be too small if it was! It's a summary/the blurb of the book. The link I posted leads to the actual story itself. It's mostly descriptive writing with a bit of dialogue.
