Is anyone here knowledgeable about antique clocks or lamps?

I just bout this really awesome lamp/clock. I'll post a photo in my photos if anyone can help me. It feels like cast iron. There is a label on the back that says "united metal goods mfg. co. inc. Brooklyn, NY Model # 502" I'd like to know about this lamp because I don't really think the lamp shade goes to it, and i want to see what it originally looked like, so I can try to restore it.
