Is anyone interested in doing a sort of water appreciation challenge with me?

I've been feeling really guilty lately about my consumption of water. I feel that I waste a lot of water, and don't have a true appreciation for it. Water is a precious resource that many people don't have access to, and I'd like to have more reverence for it. So I was thinking that for about a week or two, I'd stop drinking anything but water, and try to consciously appreciate each glass before I drink it, naming reasons why it is precious to me. As well as doing the same thing before I shower, wash the dishes, do laundry, etc.

I'd like to find someone to do this with so that we can talk about the process, and whether or not it really is effective in making us more appreciative of water.

I understand your goal and I hope you are successful with it. I had lived in the desert long enough to already have a good appreciation for water.
If you really want to use it wisely I can give you a real challenge.

Figure out how many ways you can use that same water !

IE: You can Have a Pot of water and boil it for tea, then you use that same water to boil some eggs, then do not toss that out, you take that water that you still have left and you use it again in the toilet for flushing.
Yes out in the desert you learned a sequence of water usage and what to use it for. The end result, was flush water. See how many times you can re-use
some water. You can use it for the dishes, laundry, bath, toilet, etc.

I suppose so. It is technically still water, just infused with carbon dioxide.

Maybe you could get a low flow shower head and try not to be so extreme in how you perceive this conservation effort you suddenly are feeling bad about.

I don't think that it is at all extreme to try to truly appreciate something upon which my life and all life depends.
