Is anyone preparing for 2012?

There is no such thing as the apocalypse. People who believe there is are dangerous to society, and should not be allowed to hold any position of substantial responsibility.

Here is another viewpoint. I would have to do more research to know what is true. Apparently the History Channel teaches that it is NOT a hoax.

Nibiru does not exist.
It is just a myth which mysteriously propagates (mostly because of the History Channel and YouTube)
If it did exist we would have found it by now. We have mapped the sky in the infrared several times in the last 25 years (including WMAP, IRAS etc), and it would show up. It is not there. We would have found it if it existed. So all the nonsense about the return of Nibiru/Planet X is just that – nonsense
There is no scientific evidence for the existence of Nibiru

Furthermore, at the distance it must be to hit us in a little over 4 years, it would be reflecting enough light from the sun to be detectable.
Thanx to previous question from Brant and answer from bikenbeer2000, we know how bright it should be by now – it would have a apparent magnitude of 7.4 – which would not be visible with the naked eye – but easily visible in a modest telescope and would have been spotted by amateur. If there was a conspiracy to keep it quiet – it would be out of the bag by now.
Ask someone where it is supposed to be, get a pair of binoculars and look for it.

The videos on YouTube that purport to have evidence are disingenuous to say the least. They put together pictures of other objects (e.g. Jupiter, comets even a dust shell around a distant red giant star) and try to scare people. There is no validity to their claims. They present NO EVIDENCE at all.

As for the predicted catastrophes – the most popular one seems to be the Pole Shift!
The sun will have a pole reversal that year – it has one every 11 years – it is not a problem.

The earth’s magnetic field is less predictable –
but is still nothing to worry about: we know that the magnetic field does not collapse in the process of reversing polarity- if it did, there would be major extinctions that correlate with the geologic record for pole reversals - there is no correlation.

No whats the point?When and if the world ends then it is going to end,stocking up on extra water and things wont help.

No I am not prepared yet. But am starting. I think it will be more of a spiritual thing than anything else. My preparing is getting rid of all the stuff floating around in my head. And getting back intouch with my inner self.

There have been so many false predictions, why does everyone get so worked up?

I trust in God...He will take care of things. He created this universe...therefore, if I trust in Him, there is nothing to worry about.

My immediate plans for the future....from Jan. 7th to the 28, I am going on the Daniel's fast....21 day fast, to get closer to God.

I am just wanting my IKEA to be built by then. Then I can vanish into nothingness happily:)

At the moment am doing clearing and cleansing of self and raising my vibration. As 2012 will be the year of the dragon. All lightworkers are slowly doing what they have to even though the elements of earth think we are being slow but their timeline is different from ours. Also tracking the shift of volcanoes/earthquakes as they will also be involved in the magnetic shift of earth.

So in my own way - YES.

Truth be told, no. Do you know how many countless times people have made "end of the world" predictions and have been wrong? The fact of the matter is, we don't know, and noone will EVER know.

Secondly, I can't help but wonder why someone is wasting so much time on themselves and their survival when there are so many in the world who don't even have clean water to drink.

It's sad that even in the mist of supposed destruction that we still only concern ourselves with our own well being....

No, but I'm stocking up on TP anyway. You just never know when you're going to get caught short whether the world is ending or not.

I see no reason to get all worked up about it. IF the world comes to an an end (which I doubt), there is nothing that we can do to stop it and who would be left to really care anyway? For those "survivors" there wouldnt be much left to come back to....if its as catastrophic as predicted. I read that the alignment of all the planets happens every 26000 years....this means it has happened before and guess what? We're still here. I plan to take that day off from work for "just in case" so I can be with my wife. We will either perish together, or we will witness a great phenomenon together that no generation before or after us have ever seen before. Thats the extent of my "preperation".

i'm not. I'. going by this reasoning- If it happens there is no way to stay alive on earth so we're dead anyway. If it doesn't happen then yay. lol I wouldn't worry about it though. Remember Y2K? (*cough* never happened *cough*) and just like how they thought 2000 would be the end of the world (*cough* and again i say never happened *cough*)
