Is anyone taking remeron?

i hae been taking remeron for about 2 months now for depression and anxiety. it seemed to be working ok the first two weeks but now all it does is make me tired all the time and hungry and im having some pretty scary dreams. my doc cant see me for another 2 months and i dont know what to do, any ideas?

Why can't you get in for 2 months? You need to push this issue with your doctor. Ask them to call you if they get a cancellation, but make it a priority to get in ASAP. Remeron has some significant side effects. The hunger is terrible. I had to go off it soon after starting it because I couldn't tolerate it. They switched me to Trazodone because I have problems sleeping. It worked out much better.

No. Does it get you high? If it's having adverse effects, you should call your doctor.

My daughter took it for 3 months and gained a lot of weight on it. She was having difficulty sleeping and also had anorexia nervosa. The doctor perscribed Remeron for her to gain weight. It worked, then she was depressed about gaining as much weight as she had. She quit taking it and several years later she is able to maintain a healthy weight. You need to call you dr's office for an emergency appointment and if you can't get an appointment, go to the ER if it gets too miserable.

I took it... it was the best anti-dep. i had ever been on!
It was the hardest drug to get on.. to get past the side effects like the constant tiredness. That will go away.. in time. I never gained weight. I think I lost weight on it.
