It's like swimming, you can take it really easy or you can put all you have into it.

Yes it is A lot of memorization and choreography. I was the dude that threw them in the air and caught them after they did flips =)

I did it- and as a gymnast, it wasn't very tough at all. In fact- the physical part of it was nowhere near as strong as the whole 'idea' of it- which is what ultimately disgusted me so much that i left. I much preferred dancing and doing gymnastics without girls dressed in little skirts and pompoms.

Many cheerleaders are athletic, and perhaps even more so then the players they cheer on.
