The bad thing about pop is that it puts the weight on fast. But it goes away just as fast if you quit drinking it.

well can you give us a quick breakdown on the chemicals that are in the 'pop' you are currently abusing? .. and i dont meen to tell us color 134 , ect .. im too lazy to look up chemical names and research the possable health concequences,

but ill try to break down your question so i can attempt a correct awnser ..
firstly you use a word 'bad' i dont like that word as it in effect has little meaning and is different for everyone. so i assume by 'bad' you mean to imply 'hazardous to ones health' and the quick awnser is .. is that a risk your willing to take ?

in any case ive been a drinker .. and could kick it , but cigarettes are a real possessive drug ,
if you are smoking weed then that could be why your mouth is so dry that you have developed a dual-addiction to the weed and the soda-pop .. and without knowing what the chemicals are in what your drinking its perhaps very hard to guess what long term effect drinking all these artifical flavors and colours may in time be, with or without the weed , the booze or the cigarettes .. i have no trouble in accepting that 'pop' crap could be full of potentually addictive or health hazardous chemicals.

    dont shake the can,

i think so, just in different ways. you can trash your stomach lining, and the phosphoric acid weakens your bones. i'm sure there's more too.

There is absolutely no nutritional value in soda pop; it's just empty calories or worse, full of poison if it's diet. Diet soda makes you fat, folks. It's ingredients cause multiple health problems.
    Kick your soda habit!
You already know about cigarettes and alcohol
As for marijuana...tongue in cheek, Angel, tongue in cheek

Drinking too much cola can be deadly. I read of a Swedish woman who died because she drank one (or maybe it was two) cases of Coke per day, every day.

Drinking lots of dark soda's is as bad as drinking beer in terms of how much it dehydrates you, and the damaging effects it has on your liver, which leads to all sorts of physical problems, like heart failure, kidney disease, etc.. Smoking cigarettes can give you lung cancer, as well as other cancers, and can lead to heart failure due to the death of **** tons, very scientific, of red blood cells, which will build up and eventually block your veins and arteries, as well as lead to other fatal health defects, as well as some debilitating ones. Drinking alcohol, like hard liquors is worse than drinking beer in that the alcohol kills your liver more quickly, leading to the same defects, but more quickly, obviously. And finally, I don't do it, and I have before, but smoking marijuana currently has no known physically generated illnesses related to the actual smoking of marijuana, but it does shut down the logical and cognitive centers of the brain, the left hemispheres of your brain, and increases activity in the more abstract centers of your brain, the right hemispheres of your brain, making you dumber, but more creative through constant use. Process can only be reversed by ceasing to smoke marijuana, and retraining the brain cells, or re-educating them, to do what they once did before because they will be mushy, undefined, structureless cells with neurons having difficulty communicating with each other, and will need their now destroyed neuron-bridges rebuilt. Literally.

Recent study shows that diet soda pop might be a seious health risk, so to me, it isn't worth it.

The rest is just empty calories, and we get plenty of those!

Pop is said to destroy i mean just destroy your teeth. I have friends and family who dropped the pop habit and dropped weight as a result. If you're trying to live healthy, it is bad. To answer your question, is it as bad as smoking? I'm going to guess probably not. Stick to that high quality H20 (:

As bad? No, but very few things are worse for you than cigarettes because it will kill you. But it isn't particularly GOOD for you. And there is really no benefit to drinking soda except that you might think it tastes good.

Just different. You can jack up your kidneys or work on getting diabetes when you drink too much soda.
