Cannibalism is concerned with the 'gain' of something from the same species. There is nothing to gain from eating ashes apart from getting an upset stomach but I suppose it is probably still cannibalism.

Oh god, I've watched that vid before!! I think it's absolutely disgusting. I'm not too sure if it's cannibalism or not, probably is, I think it is to be honest. How could anyone eat ashes anyway? The fact she said that they taste like rotten eggs and sandpaper is just completely stomach-churning!!
