Is fluoride really good for our water supplies?

or is it just another waste of tax payers money??,If it is meant to be good for our teeth, why put it in the water supply??,where 99% of it will be waisted on house cleaning and watering lawns. Drinking it would be the same as drinking suntan lotion to stop sunburn. I think we maybe getting conned on this one.

I'd agree that you could just use a fluoride mouth wash. My dentist used to apply it in a paste for awhile to my teeth after cleaning them. Some people get spots on their teeth from too much fluoride.

'It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.'- Dr Strangelove..

lol... the 'math' is pretty simple on this one.... juvenile cavities went WAY down when they introduced Fluoride into the water supply.

1.) The reason they don't worry about wasting it when 'most' drinking water isn't drunk is because it is so damn cheap.
2.) Taxpayer money... you're joking right? I asked my friend who works for the water company how much the fluoride costs that they put into the water and he laughed and said they spend more on mops to mop the floor of the water department facilities each quarter than they do on fluoride.
3.) Fluoride is NOT 'bad for your body'... any excess that isn't absorbed by the enamel on your teeth is simply flushed out of your system by your kidneys.

Sheesh... we waste a fortune on painting signs and creating letterhead on stationary with the current name of a state's governor and we're talking about fluoridated water?

Fluoride is a dubious waste of taxpayer money at best, not to mention that, dental benefits aside, it isn't very good for your health.

It is really bad for your body and only does you good on the outside of your teeth. Get on Dr. Mercola's web site and look it up. Its an outdated crock.

I grew up with floride water. I have really good teeth, no cavities. I really can't see the harm.
