Is gender-disphoria a genetic mistake? or a choice?

Is it possible that genes may not have separated or combined properly to form the gender that the person really feels they are?

Of course it's genetic, or at least in part... Your gender is selected by your brain during fetal development... Normally, your genes determine whether you'll be naturally masculine or feminine, but "mistakes" or such may cause the opposite gender mind to be made... You're born hardwired to be that gender, usually normal with your sex.

Even boys that have their "member" injured when circumcised as a little baby, and so grow up as girls, with girl parts and even take estrogen to become a girl, they all turn out to be transgendered and be boys. EVEN WHEN THEY'RE EXPOSED TO ONLY LIFE AS A GIRL FROM INFANCY.

And it's SOOO not a mistake.

As a matter of fact, they are no different than any other person in the world. So why fret about it, just accept that they are, it is what it is and move on. Rated: +2Vote for this!
RikBra	Posted Jul 16th, 2009 at 7:37PM Gender Dysphoria is within the genes! It is not a choice per se! The reason it becomes a choice is often due to fear that society, family, friends and employment put upon them if they were to actually come out so to speak! Those who accept it and move on into that transition continue on very happy and grounded! I suffer from that! I say suffer because Of the fears I described! My heart and soul are sad! I have a form where I desire to be different in my sexuality however, I also prefer to be and date within the same sex! Female! The females I prefer usually are not interested in someone like me!
