Is It A Crime?

To have standards= like needing things to be/look perfect all the time, and having the freedom to speak your mind.

IF not, then why would people treat you like your doing something wrong, when your only being true to yourself?

No it is not. Everyone has their own way of adjusting to life, and the way they want to live it. Just be yourself, as long as you aren't hurting anyone in the process!

Not a crime, but could develop into an obsessive disorder if not balanced with some -who cares- moments.

Humans are annoyingly judgmental and tend to be control freaks. Just disregard the naysayers and live your life on your own terms.

as long as you don't hurt anyone or you're not disrespectful while speaking your mind... then there is no harm.

Some things can be wrong without being a crime.

Crime? Nope. Unrealistic, yes. If you need things to be/look perfect all the time? Oh honey, you are in for quite a shock. If you need things to be perfect, it's going to be a really hard pill to swallow when you realize nothing in life is perfect.

I'm going to be as helpful as i can:
'Speaking your mind' doesn't sound like a problem. But, honestly, it can be. What if a person (not you) says hurtful or insensitive or thoughtless things? That's 'speaking their mind. The people you refer to in the question, aren't they 'speaking their mind' and being true to themselves? Yet you're hurt by it.

I've learnt that if people are offended or try to give me feedback, i need to at least listen. I usually find there is SOME truth in what they're saying.

Your need for perfection: if you're making other people uncomfortable or miserable, then which is more important - a tidy whatever so that you're happy, or good relationships so that everyone's happy?

Please please consider that if people are reacting then you can at least think about it.

Because its human nature, we criticize on others to make ourselves feel better, not many people realize that we make ourselves better by complimenting and seeing others positively rather than negatively.

No it's not a crime. There will always be someone out there that disagrees with you, so deal with it. Who cares what they think, just do whatever you want. Just a side note though, perfectionism is going to be a time waster, just make sure you are being efficient and not spending too long on one thing--learn to multitask.

Depends on your motive and only you can say if it wrong. Who cares what anyone else thinks.
