Not anymore... I know a lot of teens that don't have a driver's license just yet, but will eventually I suppose. When I was young it seemed like it was a must, especially for a boy. Even if you don't own a car it's a convenient thing to have, and the sooner you start getting driving experience the better I would think.

I never did but most want nothing more, unless they live in a big city with adequate public transportation, or they can't afford a car.
