It's probably not super-helpful when it comes to building a solid, respectful, trusting relationship, but I'm sure that there are millions of people who have gone "all the way" on the first date and ended up together. I know a couple who did this and have now been married for 20 years! There's no way of predicting what the future will hold for you both. Best of luck, whatever you do. :)

As far as wanting a relationship with that person, how can you know that from a first date? People treat love and sex like a speed dating service...hurry up and get it done. If the guy is just out to "get some" then it is not a great idea to have slept with him. But if the two people are attracted to each other and have a real connection then I don't think it is bad. chance1	Posted Mar 26th, 2009 at 2:02PM I would say if you are adults, are unattached, are both extremely attracted to each other, and you feel like going to bed, then I don't really see a problem with that. Two consenting adults. Sometimes you meet someone for the first time and go out on a date, and there is no chemistry at all. It has happened to me. Other times there is. Go with the flow. dissolvedsoul	Posted Mar 26th, 2009 at 7:38AM I think you will get judged more by the male party, than by the female judging the male. Any women giving it up on the first date is tasteless. I'm not saying it's ok for guys to do it, but the norm is that guys LOOK for that. I think in a mans mind, if you are willing to give it up on the first date, they may have trust issues with you. depressedmommy	Posted Mar 26th, 2009 at 10:04AM In my last two relationships, I did sleep with them on the first date. I am a shy person so when it came to sleeping with them, it helped me to open up more with them and I connected better with them! The relationship with the first guy I slept with on the first date lasted a year and the 2nd became my husband and we have been married almost 4 years! I guess doing it on the first date kindof helped me keep a relationship; although, I am not particularly proud of being "easy"! Rated: +1Vote for this!
