    By any means. Right or wrong, happiness is a state of mind. Social norms create limits and boundaries that prevent many people from attaining true happiness. So whether society says it's wrong or right, legal or illegal, go for it. You only live once you know.

    this is a very hard question due to one simple fact, social standards change depending on where you live. some of the greedy and disrespectfull things we do to each other would get us killed in some countries where as in others we would need to use more cosmetic surgery and become even more vain to fit in. it is not a question of social standards as it is moralality.

    Happiness is not a thing to be got, found or obtained;
    it is realization, or more precisely, self-realization.
    All kings and beggars can be happy, when they know
    themselves, are themselves, under the light of their
    true knowledge.
    I already answered many questions about how
    to know oneself and how to be oneself.

    I think you might find happiness without stress by doing what you like to do and going where others are doing wht you like to do. "Social norms" change drastically and often (think Woodstock).

    All that is important is you. Your life and what you accomplish. No one else matters because they don't live your life.

    By any means, but that's assuming one can tell the difference between what's really going to bring them happiness in the long run and what's just going to give them pleasure for a while.
