The Media, Hallmark and DeBeers makes you feel abnormal. Everyone else couldn't care less.

Certainly not. It might be upsetting and a little depressing, based on how your social circle either supports or berates you. What's important is that if YOU want a date, then go out to a club, bar, or v-day party and find one! If you'd rather stay home, then enjoy yourself and then go shopping for 75%-off chocolate the day after :D

This coming from a 30 year who's never had a v-day date and couldn't care less, as I'd rather spend a true special day (of my choosing, not one in the calendar) with someone, like an anniversary or personal celebration (new job or promotion).
